Greetings from Nashville! I am at a marketing conference in the south and I am sure enjoying myself. Gene Simmons spoke today and surprisingly he is a smart, articulate businessman. I was really impressed. He didn’t stick out his tongue or wear his costume. I’m happy I didn’t have to see that. Frankly, if I wanted to see 60 yr old men in spandex, I’d go run a marathon, do a seniors bike race, or go to the grocery store at 5:30 AM.

After his little rah-rah speech we got to stand in a line and get a picture with him (I will get a copy on here as soon as possible). Sadly I had to take the picture with co-workers because they were rushing the line a bit to get everybody a chance or else you would have got one heck of a fake smile from me and Gene.

Anyways, i will be updating you from the conference when I can and let you know of any funny situations. Oh wait, I just thought of something that drives me loco.

Do you ever get sick of people that ask questions just to ask questions? It seems like they just get up for the attention. Don’t get me wrong I have no problem with the occasional question, trust me I had plenty in 9th grade biology. But seriously the long leading questions to reconfirm what the speaker just said are obnoxious. Luckily I survived the first day without any intense Q&A’s. I’ll keep you posted on the Q&A situation…

Oh and never eat a slice of pizza followed by a little Chinese food. No matter how hungry you are–don’t do it!

You probably can’t see very well because I wasn’t supposed to take pictures (opps!) but that’s Gene speaking.
